Highroads magazine reveals state’s seven best kept golf secrets

Phoenix. Jan. 25, 2013. It’s no secret that Arizona is one of the top golf destinations in the world. However, while our state is home to several world-renowned courses, there are also some lesser-known – and less expensive – places to play in our state.

“Most people associate golf in Arizona with the championship courses located in Phoenix and Scottsdale,” said Jill Schildhouse, editor-in-chief for Highroads magazine. “With this list, Highroads wanted to reveal courses noteworthy outside of Metro Phoenix to highlight the full spectrum of golf options our state has to offer.”

The list is featured in the January/February issue of Highroads magazine.

Below, in no particular order, are AAA Arizona Highroads magazine’s seven best kept golf secrets in our state:

  • Rio Rico Country Club, Rio Rico
  • Tubac Golf Resort, Tubac
  • Los Caballeros Golf Club, Wickenburg
  • Emerald Canyon Golf Course, Parker
  • Elephant Rocks Golf Course, Williams
  • Laughlin Ranch Golf Club, Bullhead City
  • Lake Powell National Golf Course, Page

The Highroads magazine feature lists full descriptions of each of these courses. To learn more about Arizona’s hidden golf gems, visit Highroads online.
