AAA Acquires SunState Insurance Agency

Phoenix, Ariz., March 26, 2012. AAA Arizona Insurance recently acquired SunState Insurance Agency, a local independent agency that specializes in commercial insurance.

“With an excellent reputation in commercial lines, SunState is an ideal partner for AAA Insurance,” said Brad Oltmans, vice president of insurance for AAA Arizona. “This acquisition will enable AAA to expand its market share while enhancing the products and services we offer our business-owning customers.”

With more than 25 years of industry experience, SunState has approximately 2,800 policies and $4 million in premium. Owner Jeff LaScala, along with the agency’s five employees, will join AAA Insurance at the auto club’s Phoenix headquarters in April.

“Joining forces with AAA Insurance is an incredible opportunity for our employees and clients alike,” said LaScala. “We look forward to offering a more robust selection of services and options to our clients and becoming fully integrated with our new colleagues at AAA.”

Founded in 1927, AAA Arizona Insurance serves members and the public with a broad range of personal and commercial lines of insurance. With the acquisition of SunState, AAA Insurance now has more than 80 Arizona employees and $111.5 million in premium. AAA Arizona Insurance is the top personal lines agency in the state and consistently ranks as one of Arizona’s top 10 insurance companies by AZ Magazine’s annual Who's Who in Business list.
