Pump Prices Flat This Week

AAA projects lower prices to come

Phoenix, June 6, 2013. No news is good news for motorists this week as drivers saw little movement in pump prices. This week, Arizona’s average is up a fraction of a penny to $3.462 per gallon. Nationally, prices increased a penny to $3.630 per gallon.

“Pump prices may tick just slightly higher in the short term to level off,” said Linda Gorman director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “However, with stable crude costs and refineries fully operational, AAA expects prices to move lower this month, barring unforeseen circumstances.”

Tucson and Flagstaff hold the low and high state fuel averages at $3.240 and $3.671 per gallon, respectively. South Carolina and Michigan hold the lowest and highest average prices for the lower 48 states at $3.212 and $4.231 per gallon, respectively.
