It’s the Great Pump(kin): Boo-tiful Prices Are Anything But Ghastly

Statewide average falls to 9-month low

Phoenix, Oct. 31, 2013. It’s no trick: motorists are being treated to lower pump prices this week. The statewide average declined almost 3 cents this week to $3.23 per gallon. The nationwide average dropped a nickel this week to $3.279 per gallon.

“The last time the statewide average has been this low was Feb. 1,” said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “With crude oil continuing to come in at under $100 a barrel, AAA expects gas prices to fall even further in the coming weeks.”

Peoria and Flagstaff hold the low and high state fuel averages at $3.118 and $3.473 per gallon, respectively. Missouri and California hold the lowest and highest average prices for the lower 48 states at $2.911 and $3.700 per gallon, respectively.
