It’s Back! Sub-$3 Pump Prices Surfaces in Arizona

Arizona fuel prices remain at 9-month low

Phoenix, Nov. 7, 2013. It may be Movember, but that isn’t stopping gas stations from shaving prices at the pump. The statewide average declined 3.6 cents this week to $3.194 per gallon. The nationwide average dropped almost 6 cents this week to $3.222 per gallon.

“While all metro regions continue to hold averages above $3 per gallon, there are several stations in the Valley that have fallen below that threshold, which is a price point we haven’t seen since January,” said Linda Gorman, director of communications and public affairs for AAA Arizona. “This price trend is one more Arizona motorists will likely be seeing as the month continues.”

Peoria and Flagstaff hold the low and high state fuel averages at $3.093 and $3.461 per gallon, respectively. Missouri and California hold the lowest and highest average prices for the lower 48 states at $2.856 and $3.649 per gallon, respectively.
