AAA Auto Repair PV Location Earns “Green” Honors

Phoenix, Sept. 10, 2012. AAA’s Paradise Valley Auto Repair facility is Arizona’s newest Green Shop. The facility earned “green” honors for finding reasonable and cost-effective ways to conserve resources and protect the environment.

“When AAA built this location, we knew we wanted to operate an environmentally conscious auto repair facility,” said Don Nunnari, vice president of automotive services for AAA Arizona. “As a membership organization representing Arizona motorists, AAA wants to do its part to promote a greener Arizona.”

Located at 15439 N. 40th St. in Phoenix, AAA’s Paradise Valley Auto Repair facility is the auto club’s fourth club-owned facility to earn Green Shop designation.

To become a Green Shop, facilities must demonstrate that they are reducing hazardous waste through the use of specialized equipment and cleaning methods. By using water-based cleaning systems instead of chemical solvents, for example, facilities generate less pollution while protecting employees from harmful chemicals.

The addition of this facility brings the total number of AAA Green Shops in Arizona to 33. For more information on AAA Auto Repair, visit az.aaa.com/automotive/auto-repair. For a complete list of AAA Green Shops, visit az.aaa.com/news/automotive/green-shops-2012.
