You'll feel like Indiana Jones as you approach the ancient "jungle temple" of Ta Prohm and marvel at the tentacle-like tree roots that have enveloped the entire structure. Your second day at the complex includes the UNESCO World Heritage Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Visit the peaceful Wat Hanchey complex overlooking the Mekong River and marvel at the 7th-century artifacts, where local monks give a traditional water blessing. Then you’ll visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey, topped by temples and frolicking monkeys, and see the massive gilded statues of Buddha.
