Excursion: Angkor Wat Temple Complex
You'll feel like Indiana Jones as you approach the ancient "jungle temple" of Ta Prohm and marvel at the tentacle-like tree roots that have enveloped the entire structure. The Ta Keo pyramid, Preah Khan - believed to be a massive Buddhist university - Banteay Srie, and Banteay Samré are also on the jaw-dropping tour. BB, L

Excursion: Angkor Wat Temple Complex
Your second day at the complex includes the UNESCO World Heritage Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. After lunch, you visit South Gate of Angkor Thom, the pyramid-temple of Bayon, the Baphuon Temple – grand Terrace of the Elephants – and the lichen-covered Terrace of the Leper King. BB, D

Wat Hanchey and Kampong Cham, Cambodia
Excursions: Wat Hanchey Temple Complex, Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey Monastery, and Nokor Bachey Temple
Visit the peaceful Wat Hanchey complex overlooking the Mekong River and marvel at the 7th-century artifacts, where local monks give a traditional water blessing. Then you’ll visit Phnom Pros and Phnom Srey, topped by temples and frolicking monkeys, and see the massive gilded statues of Buddha. Afterward, you’ll marvel at Nokor Bachey Temple’s wall carvings and ancient Buddha statues. BB, L, D

Excursions: Angkor Ban and Chong Koh walking tours
You’ll sail to the rural village of Angkor Ban, where you’ll enjoy the charming horse-and-cart hamlet, visiting traditional Khmer homes and the Buddhist monastery. Next is Chong Koh, famous for its silk and cotton weaving, where women offer beautifully crafted wares. BB, L, D

Your visit to the “killing fields” and museum will move you deeply. Later, you’ll take an afternoon cyclo tour and enjoy the city’s French-infused architecture, Royal Palace, and Silver Pagoda. BB, L, D
