AAA Helps Travelers Find their Niche
Club is giving away Italy dream vacation
Phoenix, Feb. 17, 2014. The spring and summer travel seasons are just around the corner and AAA is providing more insight on one of this year’s hottest travel trends: niche travel.
AAA Travel has already seen huge success with one of its first Travel Experiences: Today’s Traveling Women. The group brings Arizona women with similar interests together to learn new things and travel together. The club has about 2,000 women that participate in meetings or subscribe to newsletters. They have an array of trips and events planned this year.
“As a travel source, we recognize that travelers aren’t just looking for a vacation. Rather, a travel experience that is tailored to their interests,” said Amy Moreno, senior travel manager for AAA Arizona. “We launched AAA Travel Experiences late last year to create these unique opportunities for all travelers.”
Based on traveler feedback and demand, AAA Travel has rolled out several Travel Experiences. Some of the most popular include:
Food & Wine. These vacations will go to domestic and international destinations such as San Francisco, Italy and Spain. Vacations can be as short as three days or as long as 14 days. Themes include The Limoncello Tour or the Chocolate Lovers Tour. These experiences also include excursions like winery tours, cooking classes at local homes, truffle hunting, and more.
Off the Beaten Path. For travelers seeking a bit of outdoor adventure, there are trips that include activities such as walking, hiking, biking and more. Vacations are also rated based on activity level from one to five. For example, a level three could include hiking, biking, rafting or kayaking. Some trips even include camping.
- Spa and Wellness Retreats. Travelers looking to enhance well-being will enjoy these experiences. These vacations will be at resorts and spas that offer yoga, healthy eating, and spa treatments like massage and facials. There are 5 tenets of these retreats: physical activity, stress reduction, spiritual connectedness, nutrition and environment.
Other categories, such as Golf Getaways and Luxury Escapes, will launch this summer.
“These trips are truly about giving travelers a hands-on experience that will create lasting memories,” Moreno said. “Whether it is indulging in a wine tasting to helping a local school in Brazil, the components of these trips are all unique. With such a vast array of options, we truly can create anyone’s dream trip.”
To kick-off AAA Travel Experiences, AAA Travel is giving away a dream vacation to Italy.
