Save on Dining Out

Tips on saving money when going out to eat

Did you know 44% of couples in America plan on eating out on Valentine’s Day according to the New York Restaurant Survey conducted in 2012. Dining out is like a gift we give ourselves and our loved ones and  it doesn’t have to be expensive if you choose the right places and bring your AAA card along for the ride. Here are even more with these tips:

  • Make an appetizer your meal. Appetizer portions are often very generous, and today’s menus have a wide variety of creative choices. Better yet, if the restaurant offers free starters, fill up on those.
  • Share an entree. In most cases, eating half of a main course will still allow you to leave the restaurant feeling satisfied with half the calories. Some restaurants also offer small plates at a fraction of the price.
  • Skip drinks and dessert. These small items usually have proportionally high price tags.
  • Go out for dessert only. Have dinner at home and then go out for a sweet treat.

AAA members enjoy discounts at great eateries like Black Angus Steakhouse, Serrano’s, The Melting Pot, Dillons K.C. Style Barbeque  and many more. We have over 60 restaurant locations in Arizona that offer up to 20% discount. Over the course of a year, the savings could easily cover the cost of your AAA membership. Be sure to take full advantage of your AAA membership, and use your card for all it’s worth.  Download your FREE Dining Discount Pocket Guide.
